1. Importance of goal setting

Goal-setting is like having a map for a treasure hunt. Without it, you could wander aimlessly without ever finding what you’re looking for. For millennials launching an online business, setting clear goals is crucial. It gives direction, enhances focus, and inspires motivation. When you know exactly what you want to achieve, you’re more likely to channel your energy efficiently and make decisions that align with your ultimate objectives. Goa

ls help you prioritize tasks and manage your time better, ensuring you remain on the path to success. A dream without a goal is liking throwing something in the air and hoping it will stick. Then when it doesn’t you are frustrated. Let’s avoid all the stress and stop sabotaging our goals by understanding the importance of it. This is the number one rule or hack in productivity.

2. Smart goals method

To make your goals even more effective, use the SMART method. SMART stands for Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound. Here’s how it works:

Specific: Clearly define what you expect to achieve. Instead of saying “I want to grow my business,” say “I want to increase website traffic by 20%.”

Measurable: Quantify your goals so you can track progress. For instance, “gain 1,000 new Instagram followers in three months.”

Achievable: Set realistic goals that push your limits but are still attainable. Consider your resources and time when setting objectives.

Relevant: Ensure your goals align with your broader business aims. If your mission is to enhance customer service, focus on goals that improve client interaction.

Time-bound: Assign a deadline to your goals. Having a timeline creates urgency, encouraging you to work diligently towards meeting your targets.

Smart doesn’t work for everyone, but it is still a great productivity method especially when you focus on time-bound, specific and measurable. Planning out your goals is by far the best way to achieve your goals. This will set you a part and this is a method many people use especially millennials. Productivity hacks work best when you set out time in the day to achieve them.

3. Leverage technology tools

Productivity Apps

With the digital age comes an array of productivity apps designed to help you stay organized and efficient. Apps like Todoist, Trello, and Asana can help you prioritize tasks, set deadlines, and track progress. These tools provide a visual layout of your goals and daily tasks, ensuring that, as a busy entrepreneur, you never miss a beat. Additionally, they facilitate team collaboration, making it easier to manage projects and communicate with team members even if you’re miles apart.

Automation Software

Automation is a game-changer for millennials running an online business. By automating repetitive tasks, you free up time to focus on strategic aspects of your business. Tools like Zapier and IFTTT help connect different apps, allowing them to interact seamlessly. For instance, you can automate social media posts, email responses, and data entry processes, reducing the workload and minimizing errors. By leveraging automation, you can achieve more with less effort, giving your business a productivity boost.

Cloud Storage Solutions

In the era of remote work and digital communication, cloud storage solutions are indispensable. Platforms like Google Drive, Dropbox, and OneDrive offer a secure location to store your business documents, files, and data. These tools allow you to access your information from anywhere in the world, at any time. With cloud storage, collaboration is a breeze, as you and your team can easily share and edit documents in real-time. Plus, with automatic backups, you have peace of mind knowing your precious data is safe from unexpected crashes or hardware failures.

By setting clear goals and utilizing technology tools to their fullest, millennials can significantly enhance productivity. It’s all about working smarter, not harder, to turn your business dreams into reality.

4. Master time management

Jumping into the thrilling world of online entrepreneurship means juggling countless tasks all at once. Fear not, for mastering time management can be your superhero cape. By using effective strategies, you can reclaim countless hours in your week and boost your productivity to new heights.

Prioritization Techniques

First things first: learning how to prioritize your tasks is key. Not all tasks are created equal, so it’s important to distinguish between what’s urgent and what’s important. An awesome technique to consider is the Eisenhower Box, which helps you visualize your to-dos based on these two dimensions. Simply categorize tasks into four quadrants:

Urgent and Important: Do these tasks immediately.

Important but Not Urgent: Schedule these tasks for later.

Urgent but Not Important: Delegate these tasks if possible.

Not Urgent and Not Important: Eliminate these tasks or ignore them.

By regularly assessing which tasks fall into each category, you’ll be more focused on what truly moves the needle in your business.

Time-blocking Strategy

Another fantastic method to master your time is the time-blocking strategy. If you often find yourself multitasking and feeling scattered, try this approach. With time-blocking, you divide your day into chunks dedicated to specific tasks or activities.

Here’s how it works:

Pick your top priorities for the day.

Set specific time slots for each task, and stick to them.

Avoid distractions during these slots, and focus solely on the task at hand.

For instance, allocate one hour in the morning to tackle emails, another block for brainstorming sessions, and a subsequent block for marketing strategies. By designing your day this way, you’ll notice an uptick in productivity—and perhaps a decrease in stress.

5. Foster a growth mindset

A thriving online business isn’t just about executing tasks efficiently. It also involves a vibrant mindset—one that embraces growth, learning, and creativity. Embracing a growth mindset can transform obstacles into opportunities and lead your venture to incredible success.

Embracing Challenges

Accepting challenges is a huge part of growing as both an entrepreneur and a person. Instead of shying away from hurdles, welcome them with open arms. Think of challenges as a much-needed workout for your brain. You’re not only expanding your skillset, but you’re also enhancing your problem-solving abilities.

So, the next time something daunting comes your way, put on your thinking cap, and tackle it head-on. You’ll come out on the other side wiser and more resilient.

Learning from Failures

Failure might just be the best teacher out there. Instead of letting setbacks discourage you, use them as learning experiences. Analyze what went wrong, reflect on what you could do differently, and make improvements for the future.

Many successful entrepreneurs can recount numerous “failures” on their journey to the top. Remember, each stumble is part of the process. It’s not about falling; it’s about how you rise, learn, and adapt.

So, if your latest marketing campaign didn’t pan out as expected or if your latest product launch didn’t skyrocket, take a deep breath. Assess, learn, and apply those lessons to your next strategy. Growth stems from learning, so embrace failures as stepping stones on the pathway to success.

6. Build a support network

Starting an online business can sometimes feel like going on a long, solo journey. But guess what? You don’t have to do it all alone! By creating a solid support network, you can share your journey, get invaluable advice, and grow your business more effectively.

Networking Opportunities

There’s an incredible strength in surrounding yourself with like-minded people who understand what it’s like to be in the shoes of an online entrepreneur. The first step is to seek out networking opportunities. Here’s how you can do it:

Join online communities: Platforms like LinkedIn, Reddit, or niche Facebook groups are great places to connect with fellow entrepreneurs.

Attend virtual events and workshops: With so much happening in the digital space, you can join webinars and online conferences that cater to your industry. This way, you can learn, share experiences, and even make friends from around the globe.

Engage in forums and threads: Participate in active discussions on forums or community threads. Not only can you gain insights, but you can also establish your presence as a thought leader.

Seeking Mentorship

Finding a mentor can be a game-changer. A mentor can offer guidance, wisdom, and a fresh perspective on your business challenges. Here’s how to go about it:

Identify potential mentors: Look for people who have been in your shoes and have succeeded. They can be within your current network or individuals you’ve admired from afar.

Reach out thoughtfully: Whether it’s an introductory email or a direct message on LinkedIn, be genuine and respectful. Explain what you admire about their journey and how you wish to learn from them.

Foster a two-way relationship: Remember, mentorship is not a one-way street. Be open to providing value in return, even if it’s just sharing your enthusiasm and gratitude.

“I am not afraid of storms, for I am learning to sail my ship.” – Louisa May Alcott

7. Maintain a work-life balance

While hustling hard is essential, maintaining a work-life balance is equally important. Burnout is real, and if you exhaust yourself, your business will suffer too. Balancing work and life might seem tricky, but with the right strategies, it’s achievable.

Establishing Boundaries

Setting clear boundaries between your work life and personal life is crucial. Here’s how:

Create a dedicated workspace: Even if you’re working from home, having a specific area where you conduct business can help signal your brain when it’s time to focus.

Set work hours: Decide on your working hours and stick to them. Share your schedule with your team or clients to foster mutual respect for each other’s time.

Avoid multitasking: While it might seem efficient, multitasking can lead to mistakes. Instead, focus on completing one task before hopping onto the next.

Self-Care Practices

Taking care of yourself might sound cliché, but it’s a non-negotiable when running an online business. Here are some simple self-care practices:

Exercise regularly: Whether it’s a morning jog or a quick yoga session, keeping active boosts your energy levels and enhances mood.

Take breaks: Allow yourself short breaks throughout the day to relax your mind, stretch, or enjoy a cup of tea.

Get enough sleep: Lack of sleep affects productivity and decision-making. Ensure you get a restful night’s sleep to wake up energized for another day of business brilliance.

By building a robust support network and prioritizing work-life balance, you’ll set a strong foundation for both personal well-being and business success.

Conclusion

Launching an online business as a millennial can be both exciting and challenging. By implementing these productivity hacks, you can streamline your workflow and focus on what really matters—growing your business. Remember to balance work with self-care to avoid burnout. Staying organized, setting priorities, and leveraging technology will set a strong foundation for your entrepreneurial journey. Embrace these strategies, and watch your startup not only survive but thrive in the competitive digital market.

        5. Identifying your unique business idea

Finding the perfect business idea doesn’t require a sudden burst of inspiration. Instead, there are practical methods you can use to discover profitable opportunities that match your interests and meet market demands. After you go through the Ready-to-Go Online Business Ideas it’s time to pick the right business idea for you.

        Start With What You Know

Your personal experiences can lead to potential business opportunities. Consider the following questions:

        • What problems do you often help your friends and family with?
        • What subjects do people frequently seek your advice on?
        • What skills have you acquired through your career or hobbies?

Transform Market Research Into Business Concepts

Use market research to generate specific business ideas:

        1. Study Amazon Best Sellers: Look at the top-selling products in various categories, analyze customer reviews for insights, and identify any gaps in what’s currently being offered.
        2. Browse Social Media Trends: Keep an eye on trending hashtags related to your interests, pay attention to common issues discussed within communities, and take note of recurring questions asked in relevant online groups.

Choose a Niche That Sets You Apart

Selecting the right niche can give you an advantage over competitors:

        • Instead of offering general “fitness coaching,” specialize in “post-pregnancy fitness for busy moms.”
        • Serve specific locations or communities as part of your business strategy.
        • Focus on catering to particular age groups or professions.

        Validate Your Ideas Before Investing

Before committing significant resources into your business concept, it’s important to test its viability:

        1. Create a basic landing page that outlines your offering.
        2. Run small-scale social media advertisements targeting your ideal audience.
        3. Join online communities where potential customers gather and engage with them.
        4. Conduct surveys or interviews with individuals who fit your target market profile.

        Combine Existing Concepts For Innovation

Sometimes, the most innovative ideas come from combining existing concepts:

        • Merge dropshipping (selling products without holding inventory) with personalized consulting services.
        • Blend digital products (such as online courses) with live coaching sessions.
        • Combine content creation (like blogging or vlogging) with affiliate marketing partnerships.

Remember that your unique business idea doesn’t have to be completely original; it could simply be a new twist on an existing concept. The key is to focus on providing value and addressing specific pain points for your target audience.

Monetizing Your Passion: How to Turn Your Hobby Into an Online Business

Have you always wanted to monetize your passion and hobbies and create a business from that?

The digital age has created unprecedented opportunities to transform your passion into profit. Whether you’re a skilled photographer, crafting enthusiast, or fitness guru, your hobby holds untapped potential for a thriving online business.

Imagine this: doing what you love while generating income from anywhere in the world. It’s not just a dream – it’s a reality for countless entrepreneurs who’ve successfully monetized their interests through strategic planning and execution. Years ago I thought it wouldn’t be possible to follow my passions. As a multi-passionate or passionate entrepreneur your goals are different than those who are mission-based, or even goal-orientated based. For example a passionate entrepreneur is only going to create a business that they love and are good at. Whereas other types of entrepreneurs are following the trends more closely. The AI trend is a perfect example of this. Dropshipping used to be another trendy industry to get into. Even though passion based business are different, you have to view it the same way you would view any other business.

The secret is treating your passion project like a business. By using proven methods and digital tools, you can create a steady income stream based on your expertise and interests. This guide will show you the important steps to turn your hobby into a profitable online business.

Ready to turn your passions or skills into an online business? Buckle up, let’s get into the meat of the topic.

"Purpose is the reason you journey. Passion is the fire that lights the way."

        1. Identify the niche

Selecting a specific niche is crucial for your online business success. Rather than targeting everyone, focus on a distinct segment where your hobby expertise can truly shine.

Here’s how to identify your perfect niche:

Your target audience represents the specific group of people who will benefit most from your expertise. Define them by considering:

        • Demographics (age, location, income)
        • Pain points and challenges
        • Online behavior patterns
        • Purchasing habits

For example, if you’re passionate about watercolor painting, you might focus on teaching beginners through online courses rather than selling finished artwork. This niche-specific approach allows you to create targeted content, products, and marketing strategies that resonate with your ideal customers.

Remember: A well-defined niche helps you stand out in the crowded online marketplace and attract dedicated followers who value your specific expertise.

        2. Conducting market research

Market research is a crucial part of your online business strategy. It helps you understand what your potential customers are looking for and how you can better meet their needs than your competitors. Not doing market research is like walking into a store and having no idea why you are there or what you want to buy. Instead of spending less time, you will spend more time trying to figure out what you want and why you want it.

        Analyzing Search Trends

Start by analyzing search trends using Google Trends and keyword research tools. This will give you insights into the topics, products, or services that are currently popular among your target audience.

        Creating Competitor Profiles

Next, create detailed profiles of your competitors. Look at their websites, social media accounts, and any other online platforms they use. Pay attention to the following aspects:

        • Their product offerings: What products or services do they offer? Are there any gaps in their offerings that you can fill?
        • Their pricing strategies: How do they price their products? Are there opportunities for you to offer better value?
        • Their marketing approaches: What marketing tactics are they using? Are there any strategies that seem to be working well for them?
        • Their customer reviews: What do customers say about their products or services? Are there any common complaints that you can address?

        Conducting Direct Customer Research

In addition to analyzing competitors, it’s important to gather feedback directly from your target audience. Here are some effective ways to conduct direct customer research:

        • Online surveys: Create surveys using tools like SurveyMonkey or Google Forms and share them with your audience via email or social media.
        • Social media polls: Use the polling feature on platforms like Instagram or Twitter to ask specific questions related to your business.
        • Reddit and Quora discussions: Join relevant subreddits or Quora spaces where your target audience hangs out. Participate in discussions and ask open-ended questions.
        • Facebook group conversations: Join Facebook groups related to your industry or niche. Engage with members and seek their opinions on various topics.

        Identifying Unique Selling Points

To differentiate yourself from competitors, focus on identifying unique selling points (USPs) that set you apart. Here are some areas where you can potentially stand out:

        1. Unique value propositions: What unique benefits do you offer that others don’t?
        2. Specialized expertise: Do you have specialized knowledge or skills that give you an edge?
        3. Premium quality: Can you provide higher-quality products or services compared to your competitors?
        4. Better customer service: How can you exceed customer expectations through exceptional service?
        5. Innovative solutions: Are there any innovative ideas or approaches that can solve problems in a way no one else has?

        Tracking Competitor Strategies

Use tools like SEMrush or Ahrefs to track competitor websites, backlinks, and content strategies. These tools provide valuable insights into how your competitors are driving traffic and building authority online.

Additionally, study their social media presence to understand engagement patterns and content types that resonate with your target audience. Take note of the platforms they prioritize and the messaging they use.

        Documenting Customer Pain Points

Remember to document customer pain points and feedback throughout this process. This data will be instrumental in shaping your product development efforts.

By understanding specific needs or challenges faced by potential customers (which may not be adequately addressed by existing solutions), you’ll be able to create offerings tailored specifically for them.

This combination of market research techniques will help inform various aspects of your online business strategy – from product development decisions through marketing messaging – ultimately increasing chances for success!

        • Create essential pages: Home, About, Products/Services, Contact

Your personal brand sets you apart from competitors. Share your expertise through blog posts, tutorials, or behind-the-scenes content. Document your journey, challenges, and successes – this authenticity builds trust with potential customers.

Consider creating a content calendar to maintain consistent posting schedules. Use professional email addresses with your domain name rather than generic ones. This attention to detail enhances your credibility and shows commitment to your business.

Remember to optimize your website for mobile devices – over 50% of online traffic comes from smartphones. Test your site’s loading speed and user experience across different devices to ensure seamless navigation.

        – **Minimize Risks**: Choose a business model with low startup costs and flexibility, such as content creation or affiliate marketing.

"Some are born great, some achieve greatness and some have greatness thrust upon them" Shakespeare

Step 1: Choose a Profitable Online Business Idea

Just like so many people you probably want to dive right in even if it’s at the deep end, but I first need you to learn how to walk before you can run. Want I mean is that you need to know what kind of business you want to get into. It has to be profitable so that you don’t have to sink. Your business idea has to be sustainable and below I will let you know how to do this in a less stress inducing way.

        1. Identify your skills and interests: What are you passionate about? Do you love writing, cooking, designing, photography. Turning your passions into a business is easy way to make money online. This will also keep you motivated.
        2. Research trends: Use tools like Google Trends to make things easier for you and to figure out what the market demands are. For example, digital products, online coaching, or e-commerce are sustainable niches and will be profitable in the next couple of years.
        3. Look for gaps in the market: When you think about what solutions you are providing for your target audience this will make you stand out far more. But finding underserved areas in your niche will attract more people to you. Now below are some of the best online business to start with no experience in 2024 and you will also find that many of these online business ideas have low startup costs in 2024.

Popular Online Business Ideas in 2024:

        • E-commerce (selling physical products)
        • Digital products (eBooks, courses)
        • Affiliate marketing
        • Online consulting or coaching
        • Freelance services (writing, graphic design, virtual assistance)
        • Dropshipping

Step 2: Validate Your Business Idea

Once you’ve narrowed down your idea, you need to validate it to ensure there’s a real demand. Validating your idea saves you from wasting time and resources on something that won’t work. Here’s how to do it.

After you have aligned your passion and interests it’s a lot easier to find your niche. Then you need to also narrow it down, and once that’s done you need to validate to ensure that it’s in high demand. Even if your neighbor Kathy has a thing for knitting ugly cat jerseys, there might not be a demand for it. Validating your idea saves you time, energy and resources. Here’s how you do it.

        • Market research: The easiest way to do this is by looking at your competitors. Look at what they are doing. Use tools like SEMrush or Ubersuggest to explore keyword demand and search volume related to your business.
        • Surveys and polls: Send out surveys and polls to your target audience on Facebook groups related to your niche, forums, or email lists to gather feedback.
        • Pre-sales or Beta Testing: Offer your product or service for free on a small scale before launching it. This will give you a key indication to see if your idea works.

Key Tip: By validating your business idea this will give you confidence and help you identify any weaknesses or adjustments before investing too much time or money.

Step 3: Build a Simple Website

Your website is who you are and what you stand for. Basically it’s your online storefront and it builds credibility. Properly designed websites build far better credibility and those that aren’t can destroy trust. Now you don’t need any design or coding skills. Here’s how to get started:

        1. Choose a platform: Platforms like WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Framer and Ghost offer user friendly tools to help you create and launch a website quickly. If you want to launch your website even faster get Hostinger. (When you click on the link I will make a commission at no extra cost to you.} If you’re selling products, Shopify is a great option; if you’re offering services or running a blog, WordPress and the other options are suitable for your needs.
        2. Secure a domain name and Hosting: Your domain name should be easy to remember, professional and related to your business, include relevant keywords. Hostinger offers the cheapest hosting packages.
        3. Design Essentials: Stick to a color scheme, it must be clean and a user-friendly design. It should also have the following pages;
          • Homepage: A clear, compelling introduction to your business.
          • About Us: Share your story and why people should trust you.
          • Products/Services Page: Showcase what you’re offering, with strong calls-to-action.
          • Contact Page: Easy ways for potential customers to reach out.

Pro Tip: Use tools like Canva to create professional graphics for your website, even if you don’t have design experience.

Step 4: Set Up Payment Processing

One of the hardest parts about starting an online business is figuring out how to accept payments securing. Customers need to trust that your payment process is reliable. Here’s how you can do it:

        • Choose a Payment Gateway: Some popular options are PayPal, Stripe, and Square. These gateways allow you to accept credit card payments, PayPal transactions, and more.
        • Integrate Payment Methods on Your Website: Many website platforms come with built-in options to easily integrate these payment gateways. Shopify, for example, makes it incredibly simple.
        • Taxes and Legal Considerations: Don’t forget to research your local tax laws and make sure your business is compliant with legal requirements.

Step 5: Create a Marketing Plan

Building a business isn’t a one and done thing, after you have built it, people aren’t going to come. Field of Dreams comes to mind. You must nurture it and by doing that you need a marketing plan. Marketing is key to driving traffic and converting visitors into customers. Here are few effective strategies you can try out:

        1. Search engine optimization {SEO}: SEO will help your website rank higher on Google, which is the best way to get free traffic to you, organic traffic. Start with keyword research and long-tail keywords throughout your website’s content, title and description.
        2. Social media marketing: Now this is where you must choose if you prefer Instagram, TikTok or Pinterest. As all of these are great in driving traffic. Post regularly and engage with your audience.
        3. Content Marketing: Create valuable content such as blog posts, videos, infographics that not only educate your audience but also helps solve their problems. Content marketing builds trust and drives traffic over time.
        4. Email marketing: Many people make the mistake of not building an email list from day one. Offer a freebie like an eBook, checklist, guide or discount to encourage visitors to subscribe. This is the best way to nurture relationships with potential customers.

Step 6: Launch Your Online Business

Once your website is live and your marketing strategy is in place, it’s time to launch your business. A strategic launch can make a huge difference in your early success. Here are some tips:

Now that your website is live, you can launch it. Maybe even do a happy dance because you have done something few people will ever do. Now even if your launch isn’t successful, it isn’t the end of the world. The world isn’t going to blow, but having a strategic launch does make a difference. Here’s how to launch an  online business in 2024.

        • Pre-Launch Buzz: Start promoting your business on social media or through your email list before your official launch to generate excitement.
        • Offer Special Deals: Give early customers an incentive to buy, such as a limited-time discount or exclusive bonuses.
        • Use Paid Ads: If your budget allows, running paid ads on platforms like Facebook, Google, or Instagram can help boost visibility quickly.

        Step 7: Scale

Whether your launch was successful or not, it’s time for you to grow or scale your business. Scaling means increasing your revenue without adding significant overheads. Here are some strategies.

1.Outsource and automate: Hire freelancers or virtual assistants on Fiverr or Upwork to handle tasks like customer services, social media management, this allows you to focus on high-level strategy.

        1. Expand your offerings: Now one thing that’s not spoken about enough is funnel building or product building. This basically when you have low tier products and you go up or down the ladder depending on your business model and what you prioritize. Up the ladder means you focus more on low tier products. Usually priced at $7 to $300. Down the ladder is you focus on high tier products. Usually priced at $400 to $10,000
        2. Retarget ads: If you want to focus on ads you can do retargeting ads, but usually in the beginning organic traffic is the best.

There are a plethora of side-hustles out there. If we were to take a deep look, you might find hundreds of side-hustle. Some are online and others aren’t. Some require more time and others less time. Either way, side hustles are a great way to generate access cash. If you do it right then that side can replace your day job and you can be making more money than you did before.

The question isn’t whether side-hustles are a great time investment. No. The question which side hustles are more profitable because they are so many side hustles out there that some are just not worth your time. So, below are the top side hustles you should do. And as I stated above that you can start them and make money today. It does sound like a bold claim. After you read this article you will understand why I even made it in the first place. Here’s a disclaimer there’s no guarantee you will make money today or in the future because let’s face it there’s no magic genie granting wishes out there.

However, if you do the work consistently. Go out there and start getting clients, you can make money. All it takes really is the first, second and even third steps for you to make. So, yes you can start making money today or in the near future if you put in the work and actually start working on your side-hustle. Below are five side-hustles you can start making money today.

        Blogging

There are many factors when it comes to blogging and many phases. Phase one which I call the start is when you are ab absolute newbie and don’t know much about blogging except what you read here and there. Phase one is all down to the basics. And to making money in this phase you don’t need to create products. In fact, often specialists and coaches will say don’t.

I understand this because when you start and are just learning the basics it can get complicated. Though it doesn’t have to be. Since I made that hefty promise in the beginning we will stick with phase two. I won’t jump to phase two, that is another completely different ball game. How do you make money in phase one of blogging/ It comes down to two methods; services and affiliate marketing.

When I first started I did services. I looked at my skill set and then I was like okay I will contact a few people I know and ask them if they wanted to hire me. I did such a bang up job that I was the woman the job that they hired me. But I didn’t start with affiliate marketing. Now on to affiliate marketing, they are people out there that don’t feel confident in doing that. That’s alright, you can sell other people’s products.

When I was doing my service, I found great affiliate marketing programs and combined it. I made $200 in the first week on the job. Not too bad for a start. You can look at products or programs you use that you like and review them. It helps if it’s around something you have a passion for you. So you can have a blog about training husky puppies. All you need to do is look at programs that cater to this niche. Your blog doesn’t have to be fancy in the beginning. This is where I went wrong, thinking it had to be.  This is a side-hustle you can start making money today. As long as you do it the right way.

        Freelancing/Freelance writing

Way back in 2016 and 2017, the first side-hustle I ever did was freelancing. Was it hard? Not as hard as I thought it was. In fact, I made a bit of money and it was then that I was hooked. I knew I could make money online, but when I actually did. I realized the possibilities. Freelancing is one of the most profitable side hustles, but it also depends on a few factors.

There is a lot of competition so you have to get out of your comfort zone and market yourself until your face falls off. Even if you on a platform like Upwork you still need to market yourself in the way you talk about yourself in the about section. If you do this well you can get interest. This side hustle can help you make money tomorrow because that is what happened to me. Still, I had to find a voice. Figure out a niche and then broaden my appeal. I also had to bid for projects and this is where I managed to market myself.

One thing with freelancing is you need to know your worth. It’s important to start small and then grow as you go. They are so many freelancing sites out there that it is easy to join all of them. Focus on one until you have grown on that site and are making the money you want to make. Then you can go to the others. Another thing that is important to note is have a website. This will set you a part from the hundreds of freelances that don’t have their own websites. Also you should check out what are the top freelancers on the platform you decide. Then look at the services they offer. Is the service something that interests you? What do they provide? Can you add something so that you stick out?

If freelancing is something that might interest you check it out. It is impossible for you to start making money today if you start doing it. Yes, this is a side-hustle you can start making money today.

        Teaching English

Are you proficient in English? Can you at least string sentences together? Can speak basic English? Then you can teach English online. They are some programs that require you to do an English exam, but it isn’t that hard to pass if you can speak basic English. You then start teaching English. Then they are other programs where you do an assessment on their site and if you pass then you can start teaching.

Often you will teaching students in Asia and Africa how to speak English. Other platforms you can teach anyone around the world who wants to learn the language. It depends on the program. This is a great side hustle because you can teach English for an hour or two per day depending on your schedule. This is a great second income. You can make about $20 to $50 per hour teaching English online.

Let’s do a bit of math so that we can paint an accurate picture of what you could possibly earn when starting out. If you are starting you will get paid $20 per hour. If you work twice a day that is $40 a day. If you work seven days a week that is $280 per week and $1120. In six months that is $6,720. As soon as you start, this is a side-hustle that you can start making money today.

        Dropshipping

In the last few years, dropshipping has grown in popularity. Now what exactly is dropshipping. It is a where brands don’t keep/store or manage their inventory. What happens is when an order is placed it is sent to a third party who will fulfill the order on their behalf. The headache is taken out because you aren’t the one who will distribute the products. With dropshipping you can start making money today. Of course, dropshipping isn’t for everyone.

It is a costly avenue. You will need to have an ad budget. Not everyone has this. This side hustle is also not beginner friendly because you need to be good at marketing or not be afraid to pay for marketing support or services. However, if you decide to do dropshipping if none of that scared you can make a substantial amount from this. Many people become millionaires because of dropshipping.

One of the most important factors to dropshipping is research. On every stage you need to research. You need to research your competitors, the niche, how to market your product and even there’s interest in your product. If you don’t research you will lose more money. It also requires more time than other side hustles because most of your time you will be searching for marketing trends and figuring out whether your marketing campaign is working. This is a side hustle you can start making money today but remember it isn’t for everyone.

        Virtual assistant

If all the above side-hustles give you hives because they sound so daunting then you can do this. Being a virtual assistant isn’t as hard as it sounds. Often you can start with simple tasks like responding to messages, managing social media accounts and writing emails. It also depends on what services you want to give. They are a lot of virtual assistants who only do this as one of their many side-hustles. So you can work four hours a day and then do another side.

The great thing about this you can make a considerable amount of money without even stressing yourself. If you go on freelance platforms then you can start making money today. There’s a huge demand for virtual assistants as more people start businesses. Being a virtual assistant isn’t a walk in the park too. You need to be on top of things, organized, have a good memory and have great time management. Not everyone will make a great virtual assistant because their personality doesn’t align with the tasks associated with being a virtual assistant.

Though this is a great avenue to start out when you are looking at side hustles. Compared to the ones listed above this one would have to be the easiest to start in. Even though there is a lot of competition, there’s also wiggle room so you can do this without stressing about overdoing it with marketing yourself. You can also make your prices per hour competitive.
